MEDICAID BILLING
More than 900 Speech, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Psychologists, and Personal Care Paraprofessionals providers in Montana currently log services online in the SSoM Service Portal. School districts can be reimbursed for these services for students that have Medicaid. Our system sends claims to Montana Medicaid weekly based on services rendered and the completion of paperwork required for compliance. For the 2024-2025 school year we helped school districts receive over $2 million in Medicaid reimbursement

The Service Portal is maintained by the SSoM Medicaid Billing Program Manager, Lisa Waterman. She grew up in Colorado and received her Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance from Colorado State University, then worked at Lockheed Martin Astronautics in Littleton, CO, while she completed her Masters Degree in Finance from University of Colorado, Denver. She has lived in Montana since 2002 and joined SSoM in 2017. Lisa works with districts and education cooperatives to maximize Medicaid reimbursements using the RELAY billing service portal, training providers on billing best practices, and working alongside districts to satisfy Medicaid compliance requirements. She enjoys sharing expertise she has acquired over the years and finds working with professionals who provide beneficial services to IEP students throughout the state to be particularly rewarding. Lisa lives in Bozeman with her husband.
