CPI WORKSHOPS- current as of March 2024 -
For nearly 10 years, School Services of Montana has provided Non-violent Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) workshops to K-12 educators across the state. The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® program equips staff with the decision-making skills needed to confidently assess and address risk. It combines verbal intervention strategies and restrictive interventions with advanced physical skills for high-risk scenarios such as those that require floor intervention. Our instructor has customized this training specifically for educators who work with K-12 students, and certification is good for 18 months. Any school, public or private, or child-based organization (i.e. SPED co-ops, after school programs, etc) may participate in our CPI program, and discounts are available for SSoM member district employees. We love our CPI hosts! All host districts or organizations receive one FREE registration with a minimum of 10 registrants, plus the convenience of holding the workshop at your location. Workshop dates are coordinated between our office and host administration, based on your availability and our certified instructor's availability. A minimum of 10 registrants is required for all workshops, and the maximum is 30. Do you have a LOT of staff to get certified? Ask us how our Hybrid Class makes it possible to hold 2 workshops in one day! If you would like to discuss hosting a CPI workshop, or if you have questions about how our CPI program could benefit your district staff, please contact our CPI Instructor: |
